Drain/Gully needs clearing
Reported in the Gully or manhole defect category anonymously at 11:54, Wed 8 March 2017
Sent to Warwickshire County Council 2 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 997963.
This has been raised on multiple occasions to the Highways team at WCC (craigpthompson@warwickshire.gov.uk). It seems like the drain/gully outside 2 Warren Rd (corner with Percival Road) cannot clear rainwater quick enough. The picture depicts overnight rain (average rainfall rate - nothing too heavy) yet this is the only part of the street that cannot handle drainage from rainwater. When it rains very heavy, it floods very quickly. This issue has persisted for a year and yet still no resolution. Has the gully been cleared at all in the past year? Regards.

Reply i have just received, Dear Cllr Roodhouse
We have had the gullies in Warren Rd and Percival Rd at least twice in the last 12 months, we believe the issue maybe the surface of the carriageway since the resurfacing took place 2 years ago and the engineer is looking into this, we are also arranging for a drainage report to see if there is a problem with the drainage, this only occurs when there is extremely heavy rainfall but we are investigating.
