Disabled parking within 15 yards of the T Junction
Reported in the Obstruction or hazard on road category anonymously at 21:33, Tue 10 January 2017
Sent to Warwickshire County Council 2 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 955734.
The allocated marked disabled parking is a hazard at peak time traffic. When vehicles are exiting St Michael's Road onto the Birmingham Road either left or right traffic queue and await access onto the Birmingham Road. The vehicle parked on the disabled marked area is stationary and the gap between this vehicle and queuing vehicles leaving exiting St Michaels road onto the Birmingham Road is very limited causing a risk when vehicles are entering into St Michaels Road from the Birmingham Road. The risk is traffic trying to pass each other either side with a vehicle ( disabled marked area) causing a severe obstruction, there is also a risk to this parked vehicle being hit. This has been an accident waiting to happen and today the 10.01.17 I was queuing in traffic to exit St Michaels road to enter right into Birmingham Road. My Vehicle was adjacent to the parked disabled parked vehicle with limited space between both vehicles when a stage coach bus attempted to squeeze between both vehicles causing damage to my vehicle. This will happen again if this is not addressed. I request the area marked disabled is revoked and the owners of the vehicle are compensated with adequate parking, either on their grassed property or in a designated area. The owner of the vehicle and his partner have mobility with the aid a walking stick
