Tree roots raising thee footpath
Reported anonymously at 18:34, Thu 4 August 2016
Sent to Rugby Borough Council and Warwickshire County Council less than a minute later
The tree roots are raising the footpath to a dangerous level making it rather dangerous to travel over them in my Mobility Scooter. This is an ongoing problem as in 62 years of living in this road I have never seen any Council or other person inspect or carry out any repairs to tree root damage.

Disgusting service by Rugby Borough Council the footpaths all around the area(Townsend,Butlin,Clifton Road Area want looking at as this area seems to be forgotten by the Council.I must add if I have an accident in my Mobility Scooter due to the state of the footpaths due to tree root damage,I will be taking action against this Council.

My experience is that the local authority does not seem bothered or concerned about this ongoing problem until someone has an accident on the damage caused by tree roots lifting the footpaths in this area.

Terrible as the problem on Clifton Road has been repaired and a piece of path outside No 12 Townsend Road has been repaired even though it was not marked up???The path outside No2 and just past this house was ignored by the contractors even though it is marked up with yellow paint.I received a phone call from WCC over 3 weeks ago assuring me this was PRIORITY and would be done.

It has been an ordeal to try and get the footpath repaired so it is safe for myself and other elderly people to walk down the road.It is now a pleasure for me to be able to pass by on my Mobility Scooter without fear of being tipped out of my buggy. All that is wanted now is for the rest of the street to be inspected on both sides of the road and repaired where it is damaged by tree roots.
