Weight Limit for Lorries

We are having a problem with Foreign Articulated Lorries parking up over the weekends in a residential area.. This area is residential it is also a bus route, as you can imagine these large lorries cause the road to become a single lane usage which causes a road safety problem, they cause an obstruction, you cannot see the road clearly when exiting the side roads and on top of that they are unsightly.
I have reported this to Warwickshire Police but they do absolutely nothing about it as they are unsure if there is a weight restriction. I am pretty sure there is a weight restriction on this road, but how do I find that out. If the police are not willing to deal with this problem, what other help is available to put a stop to this unwanted problem.
Martin our local community police guy has looked into in this problem in the past, but nothing gets done about it.
It would be nice to know if there is a weight limit and if so where are the signs?

Although I did get an answer, I still do not believe articulated lorries are allowed willy nilly in a residential area, unless they are working for a reason. Danger, obstruction are just two reasons, causing a nusiance is another. Road safety who cares seems to be the answer!!!!!!!
