Subsiding crack on A428 (by the railway bridge Church Lawford)
Reported in the Obstruction or hazard on road category anonymously at 14:14, Fri 20 November 2015
Sent to Warwickshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 718606.
As you drive towards Rugby from Church Lawford under the bridge, past Oak Cottage and the Gas works (?) building on the left just as you reach the peak of the hill in the 50 m/hr zone the road has been progressively cracking and subsiding over a period of time (gu-estimate1-2yrs) and has now dropped considerably. When driving over that part of the road your vehicle tilts to the left. Its concerns me as you can see that the underside of the vehicle(s) are nearly scraping on the tarmac and there is not enough room to manoeuvre to the right to avoid the crack, 'a' because you'd cross a solid white line and 'b' its on the brow of a hill and can't safely see what's approaching from the other side. Someone is possibly aware as there has been a 'mark' sprayed around the crack a few months ago now. I believe that the embankment is subsiding and that area of the road, nearer the bridge, is renowned for flooding
