End of footpath blocked and inadequate signs

Reported in the Rights of way category anonymously at 12:53, Thu 22 October 2015

Sent to Warwickshire County Council 2 minutes later

We went on a family walk and noticed the signs were damaged along the footpath so it was unclear which way to go. At the end the end of the footpath the gate was heavily overgrown the roadside making it impossible with young children to get across. A farmer saw us and told us we could walk through the adjacent farm yard.

  • A post and sign has been inserted next to the main road to identify the start of the footpath. However the start of the footpath from the main road is significantly overgrown with nettles making access difficult with children. After setting across the first field there are two broken signs which have snapped meaning the direction of the walk is unknown. It's hard to keep on touch of every footpath as I expect this walk isn't used that much due to its start from the main road so thank you for the work thus far.
