'No Entry' road markings warn away
Reported in the Road markings category anonymously at 14:37, Mon 7 September 2015
Sent to Warwickshire County Council 3 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 686204.
There seem to be an increasing number of incidents of motorists driving the wrong way up Cherry Street, Warwick.
This is partly due to the fact that the 'No Entry' signs have never been the most prominent, but is probably mainly due to the fact that the white 'NO ENTRY' markings on the road have completely worn away.
I realise that council budgets are tight, but may I remind you that this is a particularly busy road during term time with many families / children using it to get to Coten End Primary School.
Although they should look both ways, many children only tend to look left when crossing the road because they know it is a one-way street.
In the interests of safety, it would be useful if this could be rectified as soon as possible.

The problem of the 'No Entry' road markings warning having worn away has still not been resolved. I would imagine that this will continue to be the case until building work on the land between Cherry Street, Guys Cliffe Terrace and Broad Street has been completed.
It would be nice to have an update from an actual person rather than an automated response generated by software though.
