Tree

Reported in the Hedges / trees on rights of way category anonymously at 14:13, Fri 12 June 2015

Sent to Warwickshire County Council 2 minutes later

Huge oak tree is far too big for this road - canopy is far too high above telephone wires, tarmac around tree has again broken down making it dangerous for anyone to walk on the path - especially over the last 6 weeks with high winds the tree visibly moves which makes sense of the broken tarmac - yes it is called the woodlands - why cannot it be removed and a more suitable tree be planted as in other locations around rugby?

  • as at 28th July - no one has come out to look at the state of pavement as promised by the Highway Office or a reply received from Rugby Borough Council as Warwickshire Highways confirmed that it had been passed over to them with regards to the comments on the tree - neighbours have also contacted council at beginning of May regarding this issue and to date have still not had the courtesy of a reply either

  • email received from Rugby council advising that the tree is not dangerous, believes preservation order on it but could not confirm - I queried it should have a plaque with a number on it if this is the case - do not intend to review tree until June 2018 - and that the path with roots coming through and tarmac breaking up is not dangerous - email came through as very disinterested - have sent reply back with comments - to date no response
