Services trench and Bermuda Road
Reported in the Pothole category anonymously at 14:41, Wed 15 April 2015
Sent to Warwickshire County Council 3 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 621815.
There is a services trench on Bermuda road that goes across the road to serve the new estate on Sargasso lane. Due to the increased volume of traffic, particularly large lorries, everytime one hits the service trench the noise where i live is appalling. This may need passing on to the developers as the trench looks un-finished.

I live on Sargasso Lane and would also like to raise this issue. Traffic calming also needs to be introduced to stop the lorries speeding up and down Bermuda Road as it is getting dangerous.

Please do not instal speed bumps. The trench I have reported is making the lorries bang and bounce as it is. With traffic movements starting at 03.00 in the morning, the last thing I want is speed bumps making even more noise. I just want the trench filling in correctly.

The situation is getter worse. When lorries go over this trench at 3 in the morning they make such a noise it wakes you and keeps you awake.

This trench is now causing us to lose sleep. I urgently need this to be attended to.

I have today confronted the Contractor who is re-surfacing Sargasso Lane and they say they have no plans to do anything about these trenches. Also on site was Nigel Holmes from the Highway dept and he states he will raise this issue internally. I need action taking before the Contractor leave site which he states will be next week (8th September). This situation cannot go on. I don't suppose any of our Councillors would like me to camp outside their house and play a Kettle drum throughout the night, every night. A prompt response would be appreciated.

@Garry - Seven Trent were supposed to be addressing the issue in July however this has been put back due to the road works going on in Sargasso Lane. All of this information can be found on Facebook if you search/join the groups "Bermuda Bridge Action Group" and "Nuneaton Community Forum" if you aren't already a member. I would also try and speak to our local Councillor to raise the issue as feedback through this site/Council isn't very good.
