A pothole has appeared on the A4097 where it crosses the River Tame

Reported in the Pothole category anonymously at 13:25, Wed 4 March 2015

Sent to Warwickshire County Council 5 minutes later

The A4097 crosses the River Tame just after the Hemlingford Green island. this part of the A4097 locally known as the Kingsbury mile was i believe completely resurfaced in March 2013. However the road surface that spans the bridge floor is always failing with a huge pot hole appearing shortly after the resurfacing was finished. A temporary repair was made last year but the the temporary repair in now failing and cars are swerving to avoid the hole. Also some of the road surface has come away from where the road meets the bridge joint. This has recently been filled in but not to a high standard i.e the repair is not flush with the road surface nor flush with the bridge joint.

  • On turning right from Kingsbury village and exiting the island onto the 4097 my car hit this pothole and today 18/5/15 have had to have £99 worth of repairs as it has affected the steering alignment of my vehicle.Where can i make a claim for this?

Not sure why the March entry is still on there as it hasn't been like that since March this has emerged over the last 2-3 weeks

  • 29.07.15 Although the potholes have been filled in over the last couple of the days, the actual repair to the deck of the bridge which was scheduled for the summer months had not yet taken place.
