Potholes/poor surface, Overslade Lane

Reported in the Pothole category anonymously at 09:29, Wed 31 December 2014

Sent to Warwickshire County Council 1 minute later

The entire section of Overslade Lane from Barton Road to Bawnmore road is in a particularly poor condition in both directions. Potholes have been filled previously to an exceptionally poor standard (contractors presumably), going up the hill toward Bawnmore road between Ash Court and Arbour Close, now making it necessary to drive partly on the wrong side of the road. I realise that some of the problem is caused by poor reinstatement due to scheduled gas pipe renewal, which obviously has to be carried out, but the surface has now been poor for at least 2 years.

  • The bad potholes do appear to have had some tarmac thrown in them, but this has not made the road noticeably better to drive on!

  • Still no solution, the potholes are getting larger and new ones are appearing, which isn't too surprising really.
Very poor service considering this is a main bus route. Money surely can't be the issue, the council still has plenty to plant flowers all year round....
