Roadside ditch is completely blocked and needs digging out especially outside Arden cottage but the problem exists from Heath cottage most of the way up the hill towards Lye Green. Whilst the road gully’s have been sucked out they immediately fill with silt carried down the road due to the ditches being blocked. There are two lengths which are piped but these are also completely blocked. As the road isn’t gritted it will be treacherous when icy due to being on the hill. Several cars have ended up on their roofs in the lane in past years due to steep side slope of lane. There are many elderly living on the common and early action is requested before the winter. This has been getting worse over the last 10+ years to reach the current dangerous situation in winter conditions.
