Mud on road

Reported via desktop in the Road works problem category anonymously at 08:37, Monday 5 October 2020

Sent to Warwickshire County Council less than a minute later

Contractors working on new estate access road have no hardstanding at the site exit, and no way of cleaning wheels of vehicles leaving the site, resulting in a trail of mud and stones on the carriageway. Speaking to the contractors they don't seem to understand the potential impact of their work, and the response was to stand in the road trying to sweep the mud by hand. They don't appear to have been given training or means to do their job properly, or checks to make sure they make the effort. (Working practices the other side of the fence, maneuvering vehicles and social distancing don't look too good either, but that isn't a highways issue!) It's early days on a long job, so would be good to get this sorted properly for the duration.
