No tarmac ramping to raised gully grating - just smashed wheel and tyre up on it

Reported in the Road works problem category anonymously at 11:07, Saturday 26 September 2020

Sent to Warwickshire County Council less than a minute later

Gully grating is positioned approx 8" away from kerbline/carriageway edge. The temporary tarmac ramping has worn away. It has just damaged both my front wheel and tyre as had to pass over it due to large vehicle approaching on other side of road! One of the gratings on the bend where the gullies are closer together but this one is positioned much further out into the carriageway than the others - that's probably why the tarmac ramping has worn away as vehicles keep making contact.
