Cycling signs twisted the wrong way
Reported in the Road signs category anonymously at 14:49, Tue 1 September 2020
Sent to Warwickshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2273352.
Please note that your system is not allowing me to upload the photos I have taken. I believe this could be a problem associated with using my android phone to make this report.
The "CYCLISTS REJOIN CARRIAGEWAY" and the combined Cycleway / Pedestrian signs have been turned the wrong way again.
These signs are on the Gyratory in Rugby, near to the start of Bilton Road.
These are not the only signs in Rugby that have been turned the wrong way, but it is the first set of signs that I want to point out to you at the moment.
I have pointed out that these signs are so often turned around in several emails to you before, and by using this online reporting system before.
I think that it is high time that a screw or bolt, secured into a hole that is drilled into the pole, so the sign cannot be turned around in the future.

After requesting that signs on the Gyratory be correctly realigned, it appears that your workforce have realigned one of the signs incorrectly. See pictures attached. The location of this combined signpost is on the Gyratory, near the entrance to Bilton Road. The combined pedestrian / cycleway round sign is 180 degrees out of alignment. Surely, you can't have a sign telling cyclists they are no longer allowed on the pavement facing the same way as a sign that allows them on the pavement ? Did the WCC workers responsible for fixing these signs have access to any kind of street plan, or were they working from a job sheet that was created by your office? Please advise by return email

Please examine the picture with this new report and you will see that the sign on the Gyratory near to the start of the Bilton Road has once again been twisted around.
This is the FIFTH time that the sign has been twisted out of alignment to my knowledge.
I have asked twice before, and I shall ask again, why can't the signpost be drilled and the signs held firmly in place, and permanently facing the right way, using bolts or special metal screws as well as the circular clips?
The times that your workforce has been out to fix this signpost (including going back after they fixed it with one sign facing the wrong way) must be costing the ratepayers a lot of money.
What steps are you going to take to fix this signpost permanently?
