Uneven pavement presenting a trip hazard
Reported anonymously at 19:01, Mon 31 August 2020
Sent to Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council and Warwickshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2272063.
The pavement on the east side of the A444 Weddington Road near to the entrance to Weddington Walk is cracked and uneven. It presents a hazard particularly to pedestrians who can trip particularly on the raised edge of a manhole cover.
I witnessed and assisted an older pedestrian who did just that, resulting in cuts to hands and knees. However, this could have been a more serious injury.

Repairs remain outstanding. Some areas of the pavement where root damage is causing lifting have been marked presumably for future patch repairs, however other parts are not marked (including the slightly raised manhole cover which was suspected to have caused the trip). The entire section of path needs proper resurfacing, not just patch repair work. [BB]
