Surface water flooding into driveway from roadway

Reported in the Flooding or standing water on road category anonymously at 19:40, Monday 17 August 2020

Sent to Warwickshire County Council less than a minute later

Yesterday evening 16/8/2020 heavy rain overloaded the roadway pot at in the turning area outside our drive access at the end of Rectory Close. This caused the rainwater to flood our driveway again. We had to lift our own soakaway manhole covers to prevent water flooding into our house through the air bricks. If it had rained for any longer our soakaways would have been overwhelmed and our house would have flooded. The roadway pot has now filled with silt and is blocked. This has happened before and required the pot, interceptor sump and downstream combined foul/rainwater pipe to be cleared.
