Flooded road blocked drains
Reported in the Flooding or standing water on road category anonymously at 13:35, Mon 27 July 2020
Sent to Warwickshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2218569.
I’ve had this problem several times. The two drains opposite each other cannot handle the volume of water when there is a big down pour. My garden gets flooded and I am concerned next time it reach the house.

Can you please update me on this problem. Severn Trent have looked at their drains and they say they are fine. It’s the sheer volume of water that the gullies can’t cope with. With storms and flash flooding expected in the next few days I am again extremely concerned about this. Thanks.

The problem seemed to be helped by sending a road sweeper to remove leaves from the drains. The last road sweeper was I believe around December time. This did work. Please can you send a road sweeper ASAP as leaves are gathering yet again and covering the drains so water cannot drain away. There needs to be a regular sweeper to keep the drains working to avoid flooding. Please can you action this. Many thanks
