Dangerous tall chestnut tree
Reported in the Hedges / Trees on road or verge category anonymously at 15:51, Mon 20 July 2020
Sent to Warwickshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2208815.
Unfortunately, no photos available. The tree, situated at the rear of 37 Cocksparrow Street,Warwick, CV34 4ED, has received no maintenance for many years and has now grown so tall it presents a significant danger to people and property should it be caught in high winds, causing the trunk or branches to break off. The tree needs some of the height and bulk taken out of it. The potential for damage is far greater because Cocksparrow Street is built on a hill and our property and those adjacent to us are significantly lower than the site of the tree. The tree can be viewed from the rear of our property or the service road at the rear of Cocksparrow Street.

As you can see from these photos, you can clearly see that the tree in question is definitely situated on council land, as I pointed out in my first report. It is also situated very close to the fence marking the boundaries of our property and our neighbour's at no. 39. Please come down to the property so you can verify the problem yourselves.
