Not sure if this is correct use of this app, but I am cocerned at the thoroughness of the verge cutting in country lanes and in particular Bow Lane. There is a very rich variety of wild plants in the verge, including vetches, clovers, agrimony, willow herb and various grasses, etc which support numerous insects and butterflies, especially meadow browns that need the grasses to feed and breed. Recently the verge cutting contractor has cleanly cut right back to the hedge lines - during the summer, could they only cut the strip next to the road and leave cutting the whole verge during the winter cut?

The highway summer cut policy is to cut 1m of verge width where visibility is good, but Bow Lane is cut upto and over 2m, which is unnecessary and harms local flora and fauna
