Footpath leading from A3400 to Blackford Mill and beyond has a number of issues. There are two foot bridges one in small wooded area after school playing field which is moving and well rotted. The second passes over the sluice at Blackford Mill and has a very large hole in the footbridge at the wooded side away from the mill. The hole is at least 12 inches square of rotted wood and the river course is visible below. In addition the way marked signs are not visible at all in this area or on the footpath which continues on through farmland following the river towards Pennyford Lane and Wootton Wawen.
As an aside, there are a number of homemade signs attached to trees in the wooded area from Henley High School playing fields. The signs advise that the area is covered by CCTV and refers to dog fouling. They include a mobile telephone number asking for anyone with information to contact the sign poster. Not sure why this should be needed and was quite aggressive in tone.
