Flooding of the road and footpaths outside of 25-29 Shottery Village.
Reported in the Flooding or standing water on road category anonymously at 21:52, Sunday 21 June 2020
Sent to Warwickshire County Council less than a minute later
The flooding occurs every time we have heavy rain. The rain water quickly builds up on the road, spills over onto the pavement and onto the front of the properties 25-29 Shottery Village. This needs serious attention. An additional drain was added near to number 25 a while back but this has made little to no difference at all to the problem.

I am incensed by the state of the road known as "Shottery'. Twice this week I have been soaked by water from the road and pavement as drivers have driven through flooding on the road. This is a common occurrence and one I reported some time ago as I know other neighbours have. (Reference number 508010.) The problem is not just at the Shottery, Bell Lane junction but all of the way up Shottery. One of my soakings was outside my home number 60, where the dip in the road is also becoming increasingly dangerous as drivers swerve to avoid this one and the huge dip outside of 56. The road requires a full repair not some shoddy temporary job (which has been done and is not effective in anyway and in fact is now causing more issues as drivers hit potholes they cannot see under the water. Drivers use the wrong side of the road and it is dangerous. We are all fed up that this has been an ongoing issue for at least 6 years. It must be one of the worst roads in Stratford.
