Numerous potholes and Cawston Lane road surface in bad condition
Reported in the Pothole category anonymously at 21:43, Sat 20 June 2020
Sent to Warwickshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2165277.
The road surface on Cawston Lane from the B4642 down the hill and past the entrance to Lime Tree Village is in a shocking state and very dangerous. There are numerous potholes making it lethal for cyclists in particular. Also there are regularly large stones strewn across the road from where the Severn Trent tankers park and are often thrown up by passing traffic. Given this road has high usage now because of developments and is right outside a large retirement village and opposite a popular woodland walk, it’s current state is dangerous and unacceptable. The whole section of road needs completely resurfacing rather than patching which has been tried too many times. Another user has already reported the overgrown hedge but nothing has been done yet even though this too is in a shocking state. Walkers and cyclists risk injury and cars are being damaged.

Nothing has been fine to improve Cawston Lane leading from the B4642 and it remains in an appalling state. The arrow on the plan is in the wrong place and seems to referring to a private road inside Lime Tree Village.

Disappointingly not even the hedgerows have been cut back which is quite shocking. Hopefully the Council will resurface the whole of Cawston Lane once the building works have finished but there is no excuse not to do the hedge.
