Road gully at 174 A Alcester Road not repaired properly in past and heavy goods vehicles bounce down creating tremendous noise like a cannon fire. We have put up with the noise for a long time but it is intolerable. We have had to move bedrooms to sleep in the back of the house but we still have to keep Windows closed because of the noise. If only the contractors had carried out repairs in accordance with Warwickshire C.C road gully detail (section 7) so that there was only a 5mm difference in level between the carriageway and the gully grating .

We have endured the problem of heavy goods vehicles hitting the difference in level between the carriageway and the gully, causing a tremendous bang and clatter for many months, since your contractors carried out repair work not in accordance with WCC highway details. The noise level is intolerable.
