Worn & missing road markings

Reported in the Road markings category anonymously at 14:04, Friday 1 May 2020

Sent to Warwickshire County Council less than a minute later

The road marking along the majority of the Evesham road in Stratford are very worn and in some places not visible. Worse still, In several places the previous road marking scheme (wide central chevrons which were not properly removed) are more visible than the current scheme (single central line & cycle lanes). The result is confusion and some traffic drives over the cycle lanes which are not visible, adopting a dangerous position near the kerbside. The old central road markings need to be fully removed and the current scheme properly reinstated.

  • Also, the warning sign for approaching traffic from the east does not work. It could do with replacing with a 30mph limit sign like they have westbound. Traffic speed here is very excessive in most cases, with 50/60 mph common, and even faster on occasion
