Reported by Cllr Damon Brown (Ward Councillor - NBBC) at 10:46, Friday 13 March 2020
Sent to Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council and Warwickshire County Council 4 minutes later
Blocked drain on the south side of Davies Road close to the junction of High Ash Close and positioned on the apex of the curve in the road adjacent to 1 High Ash Close CV7 9PQ. There are two drains in the highway close to this point - only one of them is a problem.
The drain in question does not work - it floods every time it rains and given that the other drains in this road are operational it would appear there is an underground blockage/obstruction.
As local Borough Councillor, I am aware that residents have reported this issue in the past but the problem persists - I observed it personally this week when the section of the road was under 10cm+ of water - the other drains close by were working to deal with the overflowing water from the drain in question. It was clear form observation that no water was being drained by the drain in question and water was flowing over the surface of the road to the next drain in the sequence.
Please arrange for the drain to be checked by the drain investigation team and cleared

Problem is still occurring and I am concerned that I have received no progress updates of any remedial works to resolve the problem. Picture shows the state of the road after light rain earlier this week. Please provide an update and a timescale for dealing with this matter, which has been reported on a number of occasions now.
