It is over three months since I originally reported that there are a number of blocked gullies on St Michaels Road, including some near the bend outside no. 33. Nothing has been done about this and the road is flooding every time there is even a small amount of rainfall. Condsering the history of flooding at this location, this is shameful!
A further problem is that vehicles are continuing to divert down St Michaels Road during the closure of Wedgnock Lane. The road closure on Wedgnock Lane was supposed to be removed by the spring, yet here we are in summer and it is still in place! This is despite the lockdown and the opportunity to get the work there done more quickly whilst traffic levels were so low. Traffic is now starting to build up again and the disturbance caused by the HGV's has continued throughout the lockdown. The residents of St Michaels Road have now endured this for nearly 6 months and need to know when Wedgnock Lane will be reopened.
