On the intersection of Regent Street and the Parade on the corner by the store Mint Velvet, there is a manhole which seems to have sunken leaving a lip on which I tripped.

I don’t know how long this has been like this, sometime by the look of it, it seems to have sunken. I was walking from Regent street on the parade to cross at the pelican crossing towards Lloyd’s bank. After tripping I ran a few steps to try to correct myself, before hurling forward, thankfully falling across the pavement, before going into the flow of traffic on the parade. I have a nasty gash on my knee and have ripped my jeans and damaged my coat and was left shaken with bruising to my hip. I thank goodness there was not a young child waiting to cross, as I could have pushed them into the road.
