Lots of pot holes on driveway to football club and lack of lighting, causing fall, no photos as too dark

Reported in the Pothole category anonymously at 23:05, Saturday 22 February 2020

Sent to Warwickshire County Council 4 minutes later

Walking to Rugby Football club tonight, Saturday 22nd February 2012 around 7 pm. Lack of lighting from just passed the school entrance of Matthew bloxham school. Walking with my 10 year old son and both of us could not see where we were walking , I then lost my footing in a pot hole, twisted my foot, landed on both hands, knees and elbow. I suffer from a condition called Ankylosing Spondylitis and reactive Arthritus and knocks and falls affect my joints . I am now sitting at home with Ice on my knees and hands hoping that tomorrow i can move. I would like to make an official complaint about the state of the road and pavement, although I could not differentiate between the two as the lighting was also none existent. Something therefore needs to be done about the lighting, road and pavement surface.

  • I have attached photos of all the pot holes in the vacinity of my fall, as it was dark and no street lights working i could not tell you which it was. You can see from the photos that this road and footpath is unacceptable

  • The last photo is of 2 solar lights, one is not working and both are not pointing in the right direction, these should be lighting the road and pavement.
