Sent to Warwickshire County Council 4 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 2002963.
I live in Lea Marston, just before Christmas I reported that the roads leading into our village Hams Lane, Haunch Lane and Birmingham Road we’re both flooded or full of pot holes. I am aware of the weather recently and we are low down in the pecking order but these issues have already been reported by me and very little or nothing has been done. 1. Hams Lane, this has been ditch flooding for over Ten years, in the winter road covers in ice and accidents occur. Reported December temp traffic lights set up and area cones off. Large pot hole then appeared which resulted two cars crashing into the ditch. Traffic lights were left un serviced and not working. Unknown members of the public pushed all safety equipment in to the ditches to reopen the road. Work completed very little pot hole temp repair. 2. Birmingham Road, new resurfaced road, prior to the work been carried out 80 plus defects on road surface. Since resurfacing the road constantly floods. Drains set to high and blocked also 4” away from the kerb and rain water runs behind the drains. Contacted by Michael Newman who called me and stated that the drains would be jetted and cleaned, if necessary the drains could lowered. Result in two months nothing done, road still flooded. 3. Haunch Lane. Outside Lea Marston leisure centre. Large floods hidden under surface water very large pot holes which has resulted in a number of vehicles been damaged. Work carried out, nothing to the swollen ditches causing the problem. Temp road repairs to massive pot holes. Workers debris left on site and across the road, barriers and signage left all over the place. Result, road surface is in a bad state of repair ditches not dig out and the road constantly floods. As a result of all this flooding Lea Marston which is now the local rat run to Hams hall is becoming an island. Could you please register this complaint as a copy will be sent to the Local MP and the press. You council has been made aware of these problems for nearly three months and very little has been done to rectify the issues. Regards Andy Woollaston 07717681990.
