The Shared Footpath and Cycleway from the A46 towards Warwick Town Centre has poor markings and insufficient signage where side roads intersect. I recently had a collision with a vehicle at one of these side entrances. The Entrance to a business is obscured with metal railings and signage making it difficult to see vehiclr traffic emerging from the premises and for vehicles emerging to see cyclists as they emerge. There are some blue and white signs indicating the nature of the path and Cycleway but these are also not close enough to warn motorists. When I had the collision the driver said I was cycling on the pavement as they had not seen the signs. In addition the white lines indicating the cycle path are very worn and there are no markings on the cycle path or the roadways crossing it as to who has right of way. This makes the junctions ambiguous for cycles and vehicles. I would recommend additional signage at these intersections and white give way lines on the side roads giving right of way to the cyclists. This would warn vehicles that they are crossing a cycle path and hopefully reduce accidents.
