For several years vehicles have been allowed to park at the junction of Orkney Close/Braemar Way/Aviemore Close. This causes problems for drivers leaving Braemar Way due to vehicles parked on and around this junction. These illegally parked vehicles obscure the drivers view to the left and then, a bend to the right means drivers having to manouvere their vehicle into the middle of the road before being able to obtain an unobscured view. Traffic from the right have nothing to slow them down. This route has become a Rat Run to avoid Heath End Road. There has already been an accident where a speeding driver travelling from The Raywoods towards Heath End Road via Orkney Close collided with a resident attempting to leave Braemar Way. The vehicle was written off. Warwickshire Police told the driver that it would be reported to WCC as it was a dangerous area. However, two + years on nothing has altered. This problem of inconsiderate parking by residents is exacerbated by hospital workers parking their vehicles on these streets rather than at George Eliot Hospital. There is a short distance from Heath End Road onto Orkney Close where double yellow lines are marked but drivers are parking on these too. We have tried to report our concerns to Warwickshire Police but they have told us it is a WCC issue.
