I would like to add that the thumping of vehicles passing over this is extremely bad and is now causing problems for those whose properties abut this fault. This fault recurs every 4 or 5 months and I would like it to be fixed permanently or I will seek to establish by way of FOI if the contractors and/or council employees who effect and arrange repairs are fir for purpose or acting in good faith and not engaging in cronyism. I am of the view that it is to the financial benefit of the contractors to persistently fix this road defect in such a way that it fails and they are required to attend, to their further financial benefit, again.

Congratulations Warwickshire Council. This has to be your shortest lived fix to date. ONE WHOLE WEEK. Whatever you used to fill the hole around the manhole cover is now either so compressed by traffic passing over it (ie. you didn't compress it properly) as to be non-existent or it has now been largely abraded away(ie. you didn't set it properly). ONE WEEK! I'm so glad I pay my taxes for this nonsense. Expect a FOI to identify which contractor is responsible, to determine if there is a financial incentive, to find out who within the council allocates these jobs and monitors the results, and to ultimately ascertain if the offence of misconduct in public office has occurred. Someone must be accountable for such waste of public money and, if so, this exposes them to a liability in law. For now, the residents of Henley In Arden will need to listen to the clanking of a manhole day and night.
