Wrong drain

Reported in the Flooding or standing water on road category anonymously at 13:12, Sat 16 November 2019

Sent to Warwickshire County Council 3 minutes later

After leaving a message about surface water from the highway flooding driveways and paths on Thursday 14th November (2 days ago) it would appear that workmen (representing the council?) have today come out to clear a drain outside our home. However the drain they worked upon was one which local residents had already cleared. Other drains running all along the residential section of Henley Road have been left and remain full of material and inoperative . These drains remain blocked despite the issue being flagged up several months ago before the heavy rains and whilst some drains were cleaned at that time; blocked ones were left - previous council workers apparently having said to a neighbour that more thorough techniques would have to be employed for which they were not equipped, This does not appear to have happened and continues to leave properties at risk of flooding from water flowing off the road – which would be entirely due to a known resolvable issue and an inadequate drainage maintenance schedule. See an example of the next drain along from the cleared one in the attached photo. Please could you let me now if you have an intent to unblock drains and timing for a plan to rectify this situation. Many thanks
