Road closure

Reported in the Road works problem category anonymously at 14:46, Sun 10 November 2019

Sent to Warwickshire County Council 4 minutes later

Why is the whole road from the Willington cross roads to Fant Hill being resurfaced in one attempt? Why not one side in sections at a time? I have a puncture as a result of the road surface, road being open overnight and surface appalling including flooding due to it being lower than normal. Surrounding diversion roads/ lanes are dreadul, mostly narrow or single track so verges are having to be used as passing places resulting in dreadful mud so making it very difficult to get on and off them. Road signs should have been cleaned so strangers could read them, eg sign at Fell Mill. No forethought apparently gone into these roadworks whatsoever. This is a busy road and serves a lot of surrounding villages and to have it completely closed is unacceptable. I have even met lorries and buses in the narrow lanes, absolutely stupid! I have now the inconvenience and expense of having to buy a new tyre.
