Drainage manhole cover moved - deep hole

Reported in the Gully or manhole defect category anonymously at 18:03, Wed 6 November 2019

Sent to Warwickshire County Council 2 minutes later

This looks like a roadside drainage access point. The manhole cover has had its concrete mountings smashed and the manhole has been moved exposing a 4 or 5 feet drop into a mud filled void. The damage was probably done by some recent hedge cutting. It is a serious safety hazard for anyone walking down this verge just outside the village of Ufton. It is on the south side of the A425 just beyond the 30 mph sign as can be seen in the second picture.

  • Seems to have been fixed in that the cover seems to have been moved back over the hole but I'm by no means sure the cover has been cemented back into place and will not move again when they cut the hedges next year.

    State changed to: Fixed
