Overgrown Bushes on road island

Reported in the Hedges / Trees on road or verge category anonymously at 19:05, Tue 29 October 2019

Sent to Warwickshire County Council less than a minute later

The bushes on the traffic island at the junction of St Giles Road and Church Lane/Vicarage Lane, Ash Green are overgrown. The island is used as a refuge by pedestrians crossing the road at the junction. There is only a pavement on one side of the road at Church Lane and it is on the 'Safer Routes to School' serving Ash Green School. The overgrown bushes are compromising visibility at the junction. The island is also the site of the Exhall War Memorial and the bushes are required to be cut back prior to the Armistice Day and Remembrance Day parades at the memorial.
