A large tipper lorry reg. BW16 UAK and owned by ‘Witherley’ parked on the grass verge in Tunnel Road Galley Common today at approximately 11.00. The driver of this vehicle who lives locally has occasionally parked similar vehicles on said verge on a number of occasions through out the year but on this occasion the front two offside wheels sank into the ground and when the driver returned to the vehicle at approximately 11.30 it became stuck on the grass verge and eventually a tractor arrived to pull the lorry out causing significant damage to the verge and leaving two very deep wheel ruts which would be a hazard to pedestrians and dog walkers using the area.
