Danger for Pedestrians
Reported anonymously at 14:12, Mon 7 October 2019
Sent to Warwick District Council and Warwickshire County Council 5 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1795792.
Since the summer the roadworks on Banbury Road have been happening. Pedestrians have been forgotten. We are now having to walk on the opposite side of the school where the pavement is a lot smaller and not a proper path. The road is very busy all throughout the day now and it is to dangerous to cross over. Considering this is outside a school it is awfully managed and no health and safety of pedestrians have been taking in to place. The pavement is closed off and you are forced to cross a busy road, the Male shift crossing which is just a drop down curb on each side and point to stop in the middle dit’s a few people and overall dangerous. The road is 40mph so how are people expected to cross with cars at such speed.
The crossing needs to be re thought of as this is not working. Also the pavement issue needs to be back open as soon as possible as too dangerous to keep using the other side.
