Rain/potentially sewage water leaking/pouring out of drainage manhole cover in the middle of the road towards the end of Quineys Leys and junction with Binton Road in Welford on Avon. Continual build up of waste water on side of road exposing pedestrians to get soaked from passing vehicles and a potential hazard in the future cold weather for black ice to form at junction in front of Bell Pub car park.

Issue has been around for last 5 days, but neighbours have informed me that this problem has manifested itself for many years in periods of rain and snowfall.

  • This problem has become very much worse than normal over recent weeks. Water continues to flow out of the manhole even whet there has been no rain for more than a day. There is a considerable amount of standing water which will become a severe hazard at the junction when the weather turns cold.
