Sent to Stratford-on-Avon District Council and Warwickshire County Council 5 minutes later
Salford Priors, School Road will be closed on 30th of September for 6 weeks due to 90 houses being built. The traffic will be diverted through Dunnington via Tothall lane. Myself and the villagers are very concerned about this as Dunnington is a very small village with narrow lanes it does not have the capacity for a high volume of traffic. We already have school traffic with is also problematic .The last time this happened we had articulated lorries getting stuck down the lane. It would make much more sense if to divert on the main road at Irons Cross. I wanted to bring this to your attention before the closure started to prevent any accidents.
School road in Salford Priors is closed for six weeks due to a new housing estate being built. Although the traffic has not been diverted through Dunnington it is being used as a cut through which is causing major problems as the lane has not the capacity for such heavy traffic. Not only are the building site workers and lorries using it, articulated lorries going to Orchard pack house are using it. We need signs diverting the traffic away from Dunnington before there's a bad accident .
