Overgrown vegetation

Reported in the Hedges / Trees on road or verge category anonymously at 17:39, Tue 17 September 2019

Sent to Warwickshire County Council less than a minute later

I recently bought Fernwood Lodge and have done my best to cut back the vegetation on my my side of the boundary. However, the vegetation is causing damage to the brick wall which is overhanging from the verge.

  • The policy of the council on verges, is to cut a 1m clear strip adjacent to the carriageway 3 times per year.If persons for whatever reason wish to cut back vegetation beyond this point, we have no objection. Also, bear in mind, - the vast majority of rural hedges are the responsibility of the adjacent land owner. Regards County Highways
