1. The equestrian access gate on Hollis Lane to get onto the Kenilworth Greenway is broken. We have a key but the lock is jammed shut meaning the gate for horses cannot be opened. This passage area is very narrow and difficult to safely turn horses around on discovering the gate to get off the greenway is broken! The lock nearly snapped our key..! Lockheed’s to be fixed, replaced, orthe gate just simply removed, no other public users have to pay for a permit to ride on a bridleway.
2. The foliage on the greenway exit/access point is very overgrown. See red line on image submitted. The hedges and overgrowth is very over grown, and the tree height isn’t compliant with equestrian access needs. It’s somewhat dangerous, especially when on big horses!! The line highlighted in green is the upwards slope, the foliage etc here needs to be overgrown as it’s a very steep drop and gives a visual barrier to not go over the edge!
3. The yellow bit is the mounting block on the roadside for equestrians and the area circled is overgrown foliage etc. We noticed that even if we had got off the horses, we wouldn’t have been able to get back on at the other side as the mounting block is really really overgrown.
