60x60cm raised damage area to footpath

Reported anonymously at 22:33, Sun 8 September 2019

Sent to Rugby Borough Council and Warwickshire County Council 6 minutes later

This is a damaged area of footpath located outside 31 Warren Road, Rugby. The damage seems to have been caused by a root from an adjacent tree. The damaged area is approximately 60cm x 60cm and has a maximum elevation of approximately 8.5cm.

I encountered the damage to the footpath while running on the morning of 3/09/2019. I was unaware of the raised damage area so I unfortunately fell and made impact with the tarmac footpath with great force. I suffered injuries and damage to my property as a direct result.

I initially contacted Rugby Borough Council via the complaint form on their website in the evening of 03/09/19 Reference Number RBC141424552. Their response informed me that it is Warwickshire County Council who hold the particular responsbility for the footpath.
