Dangerous junction
Reported in the Road signs category anonymously at 19:43, Sun 1 September 2019
Sent to Warwickshire County Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 1752050.
This is a Junction with limited vision in both directions on the approach. There are no warning signs and the Road sign to Long Compton has now been demolished by an accident recently. The hedge has been cut back by a well intentioned local resident after she was narrowly missed by a vehicle travelling too fast who then abused her for being too slow !! The danger associated with this junction has been mentioned on the web site "NextDoor LongCompton" and as this is approx 100 Metres from another junction reported as dangerous I hope action will be taken shortly.

I have noticed 2 points since this email was sent. 1..road signs warning of a sharp bend, which is obvious to anybody driving sensibly, some 2 miles further on from the junction reported as dangerous. 2...cameras set up to record traffic flow by "Intelligence data" which I was informed would probably be for approximately 2 weeks. These were by the junction after the sharp bend referred to above.
This has no bearing on the signs that have still not been replaced on either of the dangerous junctions i reported which were demolished a few weeks ago and some years ago respectively.

Still open, via questionnaire -
Still no signs at either junction and now the road surface is failing again where potholes were repaired last year, adding to the dangers of the hidden junction.
