Epicormic growth - Tomkinson Road, Nuneaton.

Reported in the Hedges / Trees on road or verge category anonymously at 22:10, Tue 20 August 2019

Sent to Warwickshire County Council less than a minute later

Epicormic tree growth is now proving dangerous to the point when vehicles are in contact when passing. Pedestrians crossing the busy road are in danger due to the extended growth at the base of these trees. With the return to school imminent, I fear the worst. This very busy road is subject to a 20 miles per hour speed limit but the average speed of most vehicles is estimated at 30 - 40 mph. (Motorway equivalent of 105 - 140 Mph) which further exacerbates the problem. I do hope nothing serious happens before action is taken.

  • Not much action from my input - in fact none! The neighbours had much better luck by contacting the Nuneaton M.P. - problem solved 2 working days.! A lesson to be learned.
