I have lived on Primrose Hill (17) for over 40 years. I have recently been diagnosed with lung Cancer. I do not smoke or drink and am reasonably fit prior to diagnosis. My concern is that a probable cause is by the use of vehicles build up outside my house and back up for sometimes 600 - 700 yards up to and past Knowle Drive (at peak periods). This is added my heavy vehicles from Maxi haulage, BP tankers and other haulage contractors who use Primrose Hill as a short cut when they could use the A46 bypass. I recently followed a Maxi haulage vehicle leaving its Depot near Cape Road and it went right through our estate and turned left onto the Coventry Road to join the A46 Bypass. Surely if it turned left from its Depot to get to the Birmingham Road and joined the A46 it would cause less congestion for the estate as a whole. Just wondering if something could be done like a limit to goods vehicles over 3 tons unless for access as appreciate some lorries need to drop off supplies to shops on the estate. I therefore am concerned by the amount of traffic especially heavy vehicles using the estate when they may be causing unecessary health concerns from gases being emitted to residents.
