Horses still using the footway despite a newly erected sign

Reported anonymously at 14:39, Wed 24 July 2019

Sent to Stratford-on-Avon District Council and Warwickshire County Council 2 minutes later

Many horses have been illegally using the footway posing significant risk to pedestrians. I am the mother of a 6 year old and a 7month old baby. When using the path I have had to squeeze my child and pushchair into vegetation to avoid being trampled. Horse faeces is also a frequent problem. Riders have shown themselves in ignorance of the Highway Code or in blatant opposition. I fear it is only a matter of time before a serious accident (quite possible involving a child) is caused by riders blatant disregard for the law and the safety of pedestrians. I am emailing to implore you to address it as a matter of urgency by installing a height restriction barrier.
