I am the Transport supervisor for kuehne + nagel at Defence Munitions Kineton. Daily I receive Reports from my vehicle crews of how restricted & dangerous exiting Gosport Lane , turning right towards Kineton Village is. This is an Extremely dangerous situation , beacause of the height & thickness of the hedgerow the Vision for a Truck driver is dangerously restricted, we have had numerous near miss's with various types of vehicles comming down Edge Hill. My crews are extremely cautious when exiting & they are well aware that a vehicles can appear at speed around the corner at any moment. Myself & My Vehicle crews are seriously affraid that sooner or later there will be a very serious accident or even a fatality on this junction. During the summer months I recive at least 2 reports daily of near miss's with vehicles on the junction. If there was a sign placed either side of the junction warning of "Slow moving vehicles exiting the junction" , this might go some way towards helping the situation, The only way to considerably help is to regulaly cut the hedge.

WCC fitted tank signage to warn traffic of the need to slow down. We do not have armoured vehicles at Kineton therefore these signs have had little effect and site drivers continue to complain at the potential risk of a collision at this junction. It has been suggested that solar powered slow down signs would provide a better warning to drivers approaching this junction.
