Grass verges not being mowed to acceptable standard
Reported in the Hedges / Trees on road or verge category by Trevor Bradley at 14:27, Wed 19 June 2019
Sent to Warwickshire County Council 4 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1667022.
During week ending 7th June a person from Glendale drove a 4 wheel sit on mower, in a straight line, half on the grass verge and half on the pavement the length of Ambleside Rd grass verges. It took about 5 minutes. Residents expected someone else to come along with a strimmer to finish the job correctly, and also the usual blow machine to clear up grass. This has not happened and has resulted in the verges looking terrible. We normally see a ,more manoeuvrable "stand on mower" being used to do the job. According to a council spokesperson the new contract with Glendale is supposed to give us better value for money, better quality of work etc etc, and any work not done, or not done correctly will not be paid for. I hope this notification will not only rectify last weeks failure to do a job properly, but also ensure that payment of our council tax money is withdrawn for last weeks attempted mowing

As advised, I also contacted NBBC Customer Services on 20 June. Their response was excellent and on Friday 21 June the verges were cut with a correct mower, then final strimmed, the job being done as it should have been in the first place. Thank you to everyone involved. Photo attached of one completed verge
